The Cherokee Is Back – 2026 Jeep Cherokee Arrives In Late 2025
May 30 2025, Centennial Chrysler

We'll be brief.
We'll be brief, because there isn't yet much we know about the all-new, sixth-generation, 2026 Jeep Cherokee. We do, however, know what it looks like, we know something about its powertrain, and we know when it's coming.
First, when we say "all-new" we most definitely mean all-new. The fifth-generation Cherokee ran from 2014 to 2023. After skipping the 2024 and 2025 model years, the Cherokee is back as a completely reengineered, restyled, reimagined SUV. There's a lot of heritage that Jeep is keen to protect: the second-generation Cherokee, in particular, that was successful for nearly two decades in the 1980s and 1990s set the standard for modern SUV – Jeep wants to maintain that lineage.
The sixth-generation Cherokee will be hybrid-powered as Jeep aims to maximize power and efficiency. 9% of the new vehicles sold in Canada in 2024 were hybrids, more than quadrupling hybrid market share over the span of just five years. Hybrid sales volume in Canada actually jumped 25% in 2024 from 2023 levels.
The next Cherokee will slot into the lineup between the Compass and Grand Cherokee when it debuts in late 2025.
